Marriage Contract / Prenuptial

There is no benefit for a man to get married anymore. If you must get married it should go without saying to get a prenuptial agreement.

If you say that you don't need a prenuptial because you don't have anything then you're claiming that you will not amount to anything and be a looser for the rest of you're life. Need a Divorce Lawyer?

Today, marriage is like a merging of two corporations. If you get married, you each take on half of each other's assets. That is, unless you sign a prenuptial agreement. Even that isn't guaranteed.

• If you have her sign it very close to the wedding, the agreement can be contested in court as having been signed "under duress."
• If you have a date already set then sign the prenuptial, it can be thrown out for forcing the woman sign under duress. Make sure to have the prenuptial agreement signed before setting a date.
• You should keep separate accounts. Buy your toys with your money. She won't get half of them if you can prove you alone funded them the gifts.
• Keep a shared account for bills and everything else, but a private account for toys.
• Make sure both of you have your own lawyers. That we she can't claim you and your lawyer coerced her into signing the document.
• When it comes to signing the paperwork, have it recorded, and for a little extra hire a retired judge to witness the event. That will play in your favor in case she claims during the divorce she was pressured into signing the agreement.
• Be very detailed and address all issues regarding kids, sex, her weight, how much she gets after certain years, palimony, cheating spouses, kids, the dog, businesses, stock, 401K, etc..
• You do not want the government screw you over for forgetting something.
• Read several books about divorce agreements so you have a good idea going.
• Pay the extra money for a reputable lawyer it will save you tons of money in the long run.

Arguments

She may argue that getting a prenuptial is setting the marriage up for failure. Don't be fooled because this is not the case. No more is getting car insurance is setting one's self up to get a car car accident.

Other women argue that a marriage should be more then about the finances. Women who have nothing put into the marriage love to say that. But they are the first one's to hire "go for the throat" attorney the minute things don't go their way. Somebody's hiring those sharks. Who do you think they are doing that?

Women also argue that marriage is a union between two people. However, two people can proclaim their union without signing a piece of paper. But women want you to sign that paper so they can take half of what you worked very hard for.

Dialogue

If you wealth is directly tied to your families wealth:

I don't trust attorneys, lawyers, or arbitrator regarding my funds or my families funds. It is not fair to any of my siblings and parents in case something goes wrong with us and they end up loosing out in terms of monitory value.

You are creating the prenuptial so that BOTH of you can be protected in case one passes away or there is a divorce. You both want to do what is good for the family! By no means is this a selfish act. You want to make sure that the government doesn't take control of something you both have struggled hard to build. If she doesn't want a prenuptial then she is the one that is trying to hurt the family.

Taking the time and energy to create a prenuptial shows that you care about the other person and have made a conscious effort to think about protecting the family.

The great thing about perpetual is that it give you and your wife the opportunity to set expectation before the marriage. So you both establish expectations and know where the other stands before making a large commitment.

• Who gets the kids?
• Will the husband making more money have to pay for any kind of retirement for the wife?
• Will the man's income after the divorce still be accessible?
• Who gets the house?
• What will happen if someone cheats?
• How much will the women get after the divorce?
• Will alimony stop if the women finds a lover or gets married after the divorce?
• Does the wife have to be a certain before and after kids?
• What duties is the man and woman responsible for?
• Who pays for the kids college?
• Will itemized receipts be required for alimony?
• How often should the couples have sex per week / month?
• What religion or dogma will the kids be brought up in?
• How will bills be split during marriage?
• Will the women get an allowance?
• Will you provide medical, dental, and vision insurance for the kids and the ex?
• Ensure the man's income does not turn into a women's asset. Lawyers trying to turn a man's income into an asset so the women can go after his future earnings. So they can draw upon that income forever.
• Ensure itemized receipts are required for any alimony and child support settlements.
• If a women has kids that are not yours or adopts kids after the divorce ensure you will not be financial or emotionally responsible for the kids.
• State a timeline of when the women needs to leave your house after the divorce.
• Before the marriage ensure you will not be responsible for any kids that the future wife brings into the marriage that are not biologically yours. You act like a father or surrogate parent family court may hold you responsible even after the divorce for kids that are not yours.
• In some cases if she lives with a guy for more then 3 days at a time you maybe able to stop vaginamony payments.

Some of the reasons men used to get married included sex, children, and to live with somebody. Those reasons no longer apply. In fact, with current alimony (vaginamony) and child custody laws it is detrimental for a man to marry.

There is nothing you can get married that you can get unmarried. You don't have to sign a legally biding contract to act and behave as a married couple.

If she needs a legally binding contract to stay together then it's not love anyway's.
